Alex Bajada, Chairman B.Econ (UWA) MAICD
Mr Bajada is Executive Director of Spartan Nominees Pty Ltd, corporate consultants. He is a former stockbroker with many years experience in the corporate sector and has been involved in the management of public companies for many years fulfilling the roles of chairman and director. He is chairman of Advance Energy Ltd and AXG Mining Limited and managing director of Excalibur Mining Limited. He is also a director of Wesbeam Pty Ltd and Hawkesbridge Limited and is currently an independent director of the WA Local Government Superannuation Plan which has $1.1 billion of member funds under management.
Robert Hyndes, Non Executive Director
Mr Hyndes has a corporate finance and management consulting background with extensive experience in Australia, UK, Asia and the U.S. He has provided strategy and consulting services across a range of sectors including resources, technology and professional services.
Following a move to the UK in 2001, Robert joined London based private equity firm Lion Capital Advisors Limited. Since 2004 Robert has worked on a number of international engagements in Australia, the United States and Asia. Robert graduated from Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Economics and Marketing.
Robert is currently non-executive director and company secretary of Vector Resources Limited and Astro Resources Limited and non-executive director of Palace Resources Limited.
Roland Berzins, Director
Mr Berzins graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Management. He was admitted as an Associate member of the Certified Practicing Accountants in 1978 and became an Associate member of the Securities Institute of Australia (now the Financial Services Institute of Australasia), in 1986. Mr Berzins holds a Public Practicing Accountant certificate (1999) and is a Registered Tax Agent (1978).
Mr Berzins has been associated with financial analytical studies and mineral exploration and production companies since 1979 when he was employed by BHP at Port Hedland and Kwinana and was Chief Accountant at the KCGM Super Pit between 1990 and 1996. He has also been employed by HSBC's merchant bank, Wardley Australia Limited, as their State Accountant and worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Management Consultant.
Mr Berzins was employed for six years as Company Secretary and Financial Controller for an ASX listed diamond exploration company and completed the transition of that company into a telecommunications company before it was successfully taken over in December 2002.
David Ballantyne, Company Secretary, MA, ACA
Mr Ballantyne has almost 20 years experience in the management and administration of public companies in the resources, technology and agribusiness sectors on ASX in Australia and AIM in the UK. Prior to this he worked in corporate services, audit and insolvency with Hall Chadwick, Price Waterhouse and Grant Thornton in Australia and the UK. He has held the position of director or company secretary in a number of companies, and is currently company secretary of Advance Energy Limited, Kilgore Oil and Gas Limited, Odin Energy Limited and Regal Resources Limited.
